Hannah Imlach is a visual artist based in Glasgow, working predominantly in sculpture and photography. Her practice concerns the nature of our interactions with the environment and seeks to offer alternate ways to navigate our surroundings. She researches the ecology of different habitats, natural phenomena and sustainable infrastructure, and seeks out specialists across related fields to work with.
Hannah will speak about the development of her practice since graduation and the motivations behind her artworks as well as the process of their creation. The talk will focus on form, material and human interaction; the creation of faceted, changeable objects; the use of environmentally responsive materials and an awareness of human senses and actions.
