Hannah Imlach is a visual artist working with sculpture, photography, drawing and moving image and is currently based in Edinburgh. Since graduating from Duncan of Jordanstone college of Art & Design in Dundee in 2011, Hannah has undertaken numerous residency and exhibition opportunities within Scotland and Internationally.
Her first solo exhibition came as the result of the RSA John Kinross Scholarship to Florence and she also participated in the graduate shows ‘Futureproof 2011’ at Street Level Photoworks and the 2012 ‘RSA New Contemporaries’. More recently Hannah has shown in group shows at Generator Projects, with The Travelling Gallery and at The Briggait. She has undertaken education, research and production residencies with Fife Contemporary Art & craft, North Light Arts, Creative Carbon Scotland, The Association of Icelandic Visual Artists, Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop and at Timespan in Helmsdale.
Her current work investigates sculptural objects as elements of a projected future, where the different narratives of changing climate are played out. Hannah is working towards a two-person show at The Suttie Arts Space in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and a series of summer residencies with the RSA to Sweeney’s Bothy on Eigg and the Glasgow Sculpture Studios.
