Stephanie Mann graduated from the MFA in Contemporary Art Practice at Edinburgh College of Art in 2013. Since then she was awarded the John Kinross Travel scholarship and undertook a period of development in Florence, Italy. She worked on a short film commissioned by the BBC in Japan, as part of the Edinburgh International Art Festival and recently had solo exhibitions in both Summerhall and in the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art. Mann uses video and photography alongside large wall installations to expand the framing of her works beyond the canvas. Her work focuses on the extraordinary in the ordinary, creating mise en scenes from a cupboard of internal ingredients.
Her work was also recently shown at The Suttie Arts Space / Grampian Hospitals Art Trust in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
