For their fashion shows, designers are staging a fading contemporary moment using people, space, rhythm and movement. It can be a calculated marketing tool for a product or an artistic performance.

Prof. Martina Glomb worked as a designer for Vivienne Westwood for more than a decade and is now Head of Fashion Design of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hannover. The lecture is giving examples and an insight into directing the Modepreis Hannover. Walter Benjamin: The profile is indeed the silhouette that passes by, the moment that manages to escape us.
