Paul Pateman had a highly successful 13 year career creating famous advertising at two of London’s biggest Ad agencies, AMV BBDO & TBWA\London reaching the level of Creative director. He’s been on the jury at D&AD and won over 130 industry awards for clients including The Economist, Gillette, V&A Museum of Childhood, Smart, The BBC, Doritos, Müller and John Smiths, for which he was awarded the prestigious D&AD yellow pencil in 2012.
Then he gave it all up.
He now enjoys a successful career as a graphic artist, designer and art director working under the pseudonym Pâté on a diverse range of personal and commercial projects for clients including Google, The V&A and Wired Magazine. Pâté combines a cast of colourful characters with a wicked sense of humour to create image and type compositions that are simultaneously entertaining and engaging.
