Ken Cockburn works as a freelance writer, translator, editor and writing tutor, based in Edinburgh. His poetic practice often involves collaborators and other art forms, as in the recent artist’s book ink (University of Abertay, 2011); his development of a descriptive poem for visually impaired visitors to the Talbot Rice Gallery; and his ‘Road North’ project with Alec Finlay, a Scottish version of Basho’s 18th-century journey in northern Japan.

He is currently completing another project called ‘Out of Books’ with Alec Finlay which has been Inspired by Boswell & Johnson’s 1773 journey to the Hebrides – See more at: http://www.out-of-books.com
