Alison Willoughby is an British innovative designer and author. For the last 8 years, after graduating from the Royal College of Art in Constructed Textiles Mixed Media, she has made her name in the design world as skirtgirl. Renowned for her highly individual and hand constructed intricate skirts. These were originally created as wall pieces, then became functional for people wanting to buy to wear and so her work has increasingly straddled fashion, art, craft and design. Alison consults to companies, is commissioned, collaborates, sells and exhibits internationally. Clients include, Selfridges, Liberty, The British Council, The Arts Council, Habitat, Replica Projects, The Crafts Council, Urban Outfitters, Club Monaco, Oilily, Tse Cashmere, ZPM, Coco Ribbons-Dubai, Tait and Style Knitwear.
